A small studio in Baku. Engaged globally.

Founded 2022. Products shipped between engagements, deliberately. Both practices make the other sharper.

Emotix is an AI-native product studio based in Baku, Azerbaijan. We design and develop AI-powered products for fintech, government, and regulated-industry teams, and maintain a UX practice grounded in seven years of studio work. Founded in 2022 by Aqshin Rajabov, we operate as a small, senior team.

Emotix was founded in 2022 by Aqshin Rajabov. Aqshin brings sixteen years of product design experience to the studio: prior to founding Emotix, he held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, Electronic Arts, Acun Medya, and HotHead Games. The studio began as a dedicated UX practice and evolved into an AI-native product studio as the category emerged.

We deliberately maintain a limited client roster at any given time. Alongside client engagements, we also develop our own products. This is a considered strategic choice: the two practices reinforce one another. Insights gained from building Emotix.co inform our partner engagements, and the experience gathered inside our partners' organisations is integrated back into our own products.

How the work arrives

Most engagements start with a question that is bigger than the brief. We spend the first week reframing, not because we distrust the brief, but because the question that generated it is usually the more interesting thing.

We turn down more than we accept. It is not that the other work is bad. It is that good work needs attention, and attention is the scarcest thing in the studio.

Emotix School

Alongside the studio, we operate Emotix School, a programme that trains product designers in AI-native methods. Over four hundred designers have completed the programme since 2020. The school is where the studio's working principles are tested in practice with each new cohort, keeping our craft honest and our methods accountable. Visit Emotix School ↗
